The Benevolentia (The Kindness), is a set of rules established in the 17th Council of Florence, during several secret sessions in 1446. Highly contested by the Inquisition, diplomatic steps had been made towards several important "Otherworldly" entities, which were invited to the sessions.

  • No creature will overtly expose it's otherworldly nature or powers to "sightless" humans. Similarly no Agent of the Church will overtly expose creatures or their own unnatural powers.
  • No magical, or otherworldly powers will be used to interfere in a human's free will.
  • No creature will willingly be harmed or harassed, if it has not clearly broken the rules of the Benevolentia. Similarly, no humans may be harmed by creatures unless in self-defence and then only if all other avenues have been exhausted. The response should be reasonable, with the intent to minimize harm to everyone. Exposing one's nature or powers will still be punishable as per the above.
